LAHORE: The sit-in organized by Jamaat-e-Islami against the petroleum levy, soaring electricity prices, and inflation persists into its sixth day. A large gathering of party supporters remains stationed at Faisal Chowk on Mall Road in Lahore.
The party has called for the immediate removal of the petroleum levy and is strongly opposing the increasing financial burdens placed on citizens due to rising electricity tariffs and inflation. Jamaat-e-Islami has urged authorities to take swift action to alleviate public hardships and implement measures to control inflation.
