JI demands direct supply of electricity from NTDC to end K-electric monopoly

Karachi: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Munam Zafar Khan has once again lambasted on K-electric saying citizens of Karachi faced with wrath of 18-hour loadshedding while he demanded Karachi be provided electricity directly from NTDC.

Addressing a presser at the JI Karachi headquarter Idara Nor-e-Haq, the JI Chief said that the K-electric is sucking blood of the people of Karachi like the East India company as 18-hour loadshedding has become a norm.

Munam Zafar demanded that to end the monopoly of the K-electric the direct supply be provided to Karachi through the NTDC.

The JI Chief said that lack of water and electric situation have turned the worst in Malir, Orangi, Korangi, Liaqutabad and the people are compelled to protest.

He warned that if the situation not improved then a sit-in will be staged at the National Highway and in front of K-electric head office.

He said that on occassion of Youm-e-Takbeer rich tribute will be presented to Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan across the country as the JI will celebrate the day “Youm-e-Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan”.

He said that it is the day when Pakistan gave clear message to enemy after becoming an atomic power.

He said that Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan services are unforgettable.
