JI Karachi leader calls on Sindh IG; discuss crime control, traffic reforms

KARACHI: Munam Zafar, the chief of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in Karachi, held a meeting with Inspector General (IG) Sindh Javed Alam Odho on Friday to review the city’s law enforcement efforts.

During the discussions, the JI Karachi head and the IG examined the current security environment and police operations targeting crime reduction in detail.

The IG shared updates on ongoing police campaigns against street crimes and narcotics trafficking in Karachi. They also deliberated on strategies to improve adherence to traffic regulations and reduce violations.

The IG underscored the introduction of community-oriented and modern policing techniques aimed at enhancing public safety in the city. Munam Zafar and the IG agreed on the importance of collaborative efforts to maintain peace and eliminate criminal activities in Karachi.

Both officials reaffirmed their commitment to enforce traffic laws effectively and work collectively to restore order. The JI Karachi leader praised the police initiatives aimed at stabilizing the city’s security situation and assured full party support for these measures.

The IG Sindh emphasized that joint cooperation among all sectors of society is essential to rid Karachi of crime and drug-related issues, calling for sustained collective action.
