Karachi: 26-year-old Zulfiqar Ali injured in operation against illegal constructions in the Malir pond succumbed to injuries.
An operation was conducted in the Malir Juma Goth on Thursday.
A Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) of Jamat-e-Islami Muhammad Farooq met with the victim family.
Muhammad Farooq condemning the police action apprised that Police resorted to torture men, women and children during the operation.
He said that which type of justice is this when the occupying mafia is being given protection while harassing the common man.
The provincial government knows who are occupying lands on sides of the Malir pond while there is no cases registered against them, he said.
He questioned why real occupying mafia are not arrested ?
He said that the JI stands with poor people against the atrocity.
