Jordan’s King commends Pakistan Army’s training excellence, operational strength

RAWALPINDI: Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Sunday hailed the Pakistan Army for its high-standard training, professional conduct, and strong operational capability during his visit to defence installations in the country.

According to the ISPR, the Jordanian monarch, accompanied by Princess Salma and a delegation of senior Jordanian civil and military officials, toured the Global Industrial and Defence Solutions (GIDS) complex, where he was welcomed by Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and other senior officers.

During the visit, King Abdullah received an in-depth briefing on GIDS’ organisational framework, indigenous defence products, and advancements in local military technology. The presentation also highlighted emerging areas for enhanced defence collaboration between Pakistan and Jordan.

The king later travelled to the Tilla Field Firing Ranges, where Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence Industry Vugar Valeh oglu Mustafayev were also present.

King Abdullah and other dignitaries observed a joint fire and manoeuvre exercise showcasing Pakistan’s multi-domain operational prowess. The drill featured coordinated ground and air actions, conventional firepower, spectrum warfare elements, and the deployment of multi-role drones in diverse operational settings.
