Judge Video Scandal: Mian Saleem Says He Was Forced To Give False Testimony Against Nawaz Sharif

LONDON: Mian Saleem Raza, who was made a “most wanted terrorist” for not giving false testimony against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has narrated the story after three years.

Mian Saleem Raza was one of the main characters of the late Judge Arshad Malik’s video scandal.

In his statement, Mian Saleem Raza said senior FIA officer came to London in October and pressurized him to hold a press conference against Nawaz Sharif.

Mian Saleem Raza claimed he was threatened to be placed on the name of  “the most wanted list” if he did not give a ‘false’ statement against PML-N supremo.

Saleem claimed he was offered political status and financial benefits and government patronage in Pakistan in return.

“I made it clear to the authorities that I will die but will not give a false confession against Nawaz Sharif.”

Told the authorities that I will not give a false statement against Nawaz Sharif, because he has nothing to do with the Judge Arshad Malik video, said Mian Saleem Raza.

He claimed that FIA insisted him to lie and get financial benefits in return.

My family life and business were destroyed for not giving false testimony and the name is still on the wanted list, maintained Mian Saleem Raza.

He said Shahzad Akbar made serious allegations against me after the Judge Arshad Malik scandal came to light.

According to Shahzad Akbar’s claim, Mian Saleem Raza bought the objectionable video of Judge Arshad Malik for Rs 20 million. However, Mian Saleem Raza rejected all the allegations of Shahzad Akbar’s blackmailing.

Mian Salim Raza fled to Thailand on July 9, 2019, three days after the video of Judge Arshad Malik came out.

Those who threatened dangerous consequences also acted on them, offices were closed and properties were confiscated, Mian Salim Raza in his statement.

Tariq Mehmood was introduced to Judge Arshad Malik, both of them suddenly came to my house on July 1, Mian Salim Raza claimed.

In the meeting, Judge Arshad Malik expressed his regret for giving wrong sentence to Nawaz Sharif.

Judge Arshad Malik wanted to tell the world how he was blackmailed by holding a press conference, said Mian Saleem Raza.

He further said when he came to London, he was abandoned by my relatives and friends, due to which he suffered from mental depression and trauma.

Seeing Nawaz Sharif deal with the situation gave him courage otherwise he would have committed suicide, he said Mian Salim Raza

My children were expelled from school, my family is still living in hiding.

Mian Saleem Raza demanded his name should be removed from the wanted list and demanded justice so that he  can go to the homeland.
