ISLAMABAD: Judicial Commission meeting will be chaired by the Chief Justice today, on judges appointment issue.
Judicial Commission meeting will be chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi on the issue of the appointment of 10 additional judges in the Lahore High Court.
According to sources, the meeting will be held at 2 pm in the Supreme Court Committee Room. The meeting will be decided to appoint 10 additional judges in the Lahore High Court. Judicial Commission has received 49 nominations for 10 additional judges.
Names of four District Sessions Judges and 45 senior lawyers will be considered for the appointment of 10 Additional Judges, says court sources
Advocate Adnan Shuja Butt, Ian Tariq Bhatta, Ambrin Anwar Raja will be considered in the meeting, the meeting will consider the names of Asad Mahmood Abbasi, Asma Hamid, Bushra Qamar, Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Sultan Mahmood, Ghulam Sarwar.
Haider Rasool Mirza, Haris Azmat, Haseeb Shakoor Pracha, Hassan Nawaz Makhdoom, Huma Ijaz Zaman, Khalid Ishaq, Malik Javed Iqbal Waeen, Malik Muhammad Owais, Malik Waqar Haider Awan, Mian Bilal Bashir, Mian Bilal Bashir, Mian Bilal Bashir and the name of Aslam, Mohammad Aurangzeb Khan, Mohammad Jawad Zafar, Mohammad Naveed Farhan will also be considered.
At the Judicial Commission meeting, Nawazish Ali Pirzada, Sajid Khan Tanoli, Saqib Jilani, Mohammad Zubair Khalid, Munawar -ul -Islam, Muqaddar Akhtar Shabbir, Mushtaq Ahmed, Najaf Muzammal Khan, Naveed Ahmed Khawaja, Qadir Bakhsh, Qasim Ali Chauhan, Rafa Zeeshan, Javed Altaf, The names of Rana Shamshad Khan, Rizwan Akhtar Awan, Sabhat Rizvi will be considered.
Meeting will also consider the names of Salman Ahmed, Samiya Khalid, Sardar Akbar Ali, Sheghan Ijaz, Syed Ahsan Raza Kazmi, Election Hussain Shah and Usman Akram Sahi.
