DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), has announced a national convention on the Palestine issue, set to take place on April 10, followed by a major protest rally in Karachi on April 13 against Israel.
In a video message shared on social media platforms X and Facebook, Maulana Fazl expressed deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stating, “Palestine is burning, children are suffering, yet the rulers remain silent.”
Calling for collective action within the Muslim world, he urged, “Every member of the Ummah must rise and raise their voices to awaken the conscience of our leaders. This is the time to stand resolutely with our Palestinian brothers.”
The JUI-F leader revealed that the April 10 convention will bring together representatives from various schools of thought to craft a unified strategy in response to the situation. The April 13 rally in Karachi is expected to be a large-scale demonstration under the banner of “Down with Israel.”
