Islamabad: Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) on Monday challenged the presidential ordinance regarding the senate elections in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Advocate Jehangir Jadon from behalf of the JUI-F challenged the presidential ordinance in the SC. The petition prayed to the top court to declare the ordinance regarding elections of the upper house of the parliament against constitutions and out of sense.
The petition contended that sovereignty of the SC and the parliament have been sabotage through the ordinance.
The JUI-F petition urged the court to declare the presidential ordinance null and void by declaring it bad intention of the government.
