PESHAWAR: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday refused to support National Action Plan (NAP), saying that religion and sect was targeted in garb of NAP so they can’t support it.
Talking to media at party Secretariat in Peshawar, the JUI-F chief said that majority of the political parties had reservations over NAP.
He added that the negative perception about religious seminaries should be eliminated and these be accorded their due place in the society.
The JUI-F chief said that FATA people had not yet returned to their homes, demanding that funds should be released to raise their living standards.
To a question, the JUI-F chief said that FATA Reforms Committee report had called for mainstreaming of FATA and they had no objection over it. Regarding Asif Zardari he said that he should talk about Sindh as he know nothing about FATA.
