ISLAMABAD: The Azadi March of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (Fazal ) will reach Islamabad today which had started its journey from Karachi on October 27 in the party supremo Fazal Ur Rehman.
The JUI-F caravan had reached Gojran late night, while it is likely that the participants of the march will leave for Islamabad at 12 noon today where at Peshawar round about of the capital the opposition parties joint rally will be held.
In view of the Azadi March arrival in Islamabad the federal government has completely lock-down the capital all the entrance and the exit points have been blocked by placing containers except IJP road while red zone has been completely sealed and beefed up the security.
The administration and police have closed Faizabad, Golra round about, Ninth avenue and Kashmir highway by erecting containers while heavy contingents of police and FC have been deployed.
In the view of the the JUI-F protest demonstration the metro bus depot has been handed over to the district administration of the city. As per the notification issued by the Punjab metro bus authority all the 68 buses of will be shifted to parade ground from the bus depot situated in H-9 area of the capital adding that the metro bus service will remain closed today.
The mobile phone services will be shut as soon as the Azadi March will enter the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The city administration of Islamabad has also announced closure of educational institutes including private and government.
On the other hand, the JUI-F caravan from Peshawar will leave for its destination at 2 pm in the leadership of ex-chief minister Akram Khan Durrani while a large number of the party workers have started to reach the JUI-F party secretariat. Besides the parties caravan from southern districts have also reached Peshawar.
The JUI-F has completed all the arrangements for its rally and sit-in at H-9 in the capital, the ground has been made completely clean while sound systems have also been installed.
