Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan hinting to bring constitutional amendment for holding senate elections through an open ballot adding that Justice (retd) Azmat Saeed will conduct probe of the broadsheet.
The PM Imran Khan presided a meeting of federal ministers and the government spokespersons wherein country’s economic and political situation were discussed while consultation were made on the government narratives.
The huddle was briefed on transparency international, broadsheet, land mafia including important matters while it was decided in the meeting to retrieve occupied lands from land mafia while Prime Minister said that in garb of politics and democracy no one will be allowed to make money.
Prime Minister adviser on accountability Shahzad Akbar briefing the huddle about action against the land mafia said that as many as land worth of 15 to 20 billion rupees have been recovered while these lands will be used for public welfare adding that these lands were recovered form leaders of PML-N Khokhar brothers, Javed Lateef and Daniyal Aziz.
The premier said that for holding upper house elections from an open ballot a constitutional amendment will be brought adding that politics is worship not a name to stand with theifs and plunderers.
The government spokespersons were briefed on the transparency international latest report.The PM welcome the transparency international report for the year 2020 adding that when opposition will get translated version of the report then they know what is in it.
On the matter of broadsheet, the PM said that justice (retd) Azmat Saeed will probe the matter adding that Azmat Saeed is honourbale and credible personality.
The PM said that those who alleged the PTI for foreign funding found guilty of the same accusation. He said that Maulana Fazal Ur Rahman has to be answerable on the foreign funding case adding that no body is above the law.
