Islamabad (February 07, 2018): Justice Mansoor Ali Shah took oath as the judge of the Supreme Court at a ceremony in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar administered the oath to him.

Meanwhile, Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali also took oath as Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court at a ceremony in Lahore on Wednesday.
Punjab Governor Muhammad Rafique Rajwana administered the oath to him.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Provincial Ministers and legal fraternity attended the ceremony.
Earlier on January 18, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar headed a meeting of the Judicial Commission and recommended to make Justice Yawar Ali Khan the chief justice of Lahore High Court and incumbent chief justice of LHC, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, be made a judge of the Supreme Court.
On February 03, notification was issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice to appoint The chief justice of Lahore High Court, Syed Mansoor Ali Shah as a judge of the Supreme Court.
According to the notification, Justice Mansoor Ali has been replaced by a Lahore High Court judge, Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali, as chief justice of the said court.
Besides, six persons have been appointed for a year as the additional judges of Sindh High Court. Those appointed include Kausar Sultana Hussain, Irshah Ali Shah, Agha Faisal, Adnan Iqbal Chaudhry, Amjad Ali Sahito and Shamsuddin Abbasi.
Moreover, two appointments have also been made for the Federal Shariat Court. The persons appointed include Justice (retd) Syed Muhammad Farooq Shah and Shaukat Ali Rakhshani.
The appointments in the said courts were made on recommendations of the Judicial Commission at a meeting on January 18, which was headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar.
