Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) Judge Justice Mazahir Naqvi on Wednesday tendered his resignation from the judge of the honourbale court.
Justice Mazahir Naqvi has sent his resignation to President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi.
In his resignation to the President, he said that he fulfilled his duties in the Lahore High Court and Supreme Court of Pakistan but now he no more continues his job on his post.
” I as a SC judge is resigning from my job.”
A reference in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) is under hearing against Justice Muzahir Naqvi for allegations regarding his assets.
The SJC issued two show cause notices to Justice Naqvi. Whereas the SJC had held three hearing while one of the hearing was open court.
Overall 10 petitions were filed against Justice Mazahir Naqvi.
Meanwhile Justice Mazahir Naqvi submitting respond on the show cause notice served to his had denied all the allegations on him.
While in the resignation of the Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi a major mistake has found as 2023 has been mentioned in the resignation.
He signed the draft of the resignation typed by his staff.
