ISLAMABAD: Justice Qazi Mohammad Amin on Wednesday took oath as a judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa administered the oath to Justice Qazi at a ceremony.
The oath-taking ceremony held at the Apex Court was attended by all SC judges, SC Bar members and senior lawyers.
It is to be noted that Justice Qazi Amin’s appointment as a judge in the top court was recommended by Supreme Judicial Council.
On Tuesday, President Dr Arif Alvi issued a notification in this regard, confirming the appointment of Qazi Mohammad Amin as an SC Judge.
Justice Qazi is named among senior judges of the country who has also been a judge at Lahore High Court (LHC) from November 2014 till March 2019.
With him swearing in as judge in Apex Court, the total number of judges has reached 17 judge-mark.
