Islamabad: Newly appointed Chief Justice (CJ) Yahya Afridi has said that he is displeased over retirement of Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
A full court reference was held in honour of outgoing Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa
The Newly appointed CJ in his address to the reference said that his absence will be felt while he got an opportunity to learn a lot from Justice Esa.
He said that he is hosting a luncheon in honour of Qazi Faez Isa on his expense instead of the government expenditure.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Muneeb Akhtar didn’t attend the reference along with other judges in a full court reference in the honour of outgoing Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
Besides that Justice Malik Shahzad, Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Ayesha Malik not were in attendance.
Senior lawyer Farooq H Nayik in his address to the reference said that the judiciary should be free from the external interference.
The senior lawyer said that Qazi Faez Isa made the intelligence agencies to abide by the constitution through the Faizabad sit-in case.
He also gave verdict in the Bhutto reference , Farooq H Nayik said.
