MUZAFFARABAD: Justice (Retired) Ghulam Mustafa Mughal officially took charge as the new Chief Election Commissioner of Azad Jammu and Kashmir during a formal swearing-in ceremony held on Friday.
The oath was administered by Raja Saeed Akram Khan, the Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The event was attended by prominent officials including Syed Nazir-ul-Hassan Gilani, Member of the Election Commission, Captain (Retd) Liaquat Ali, Inspector General of Police, along with numerous government secretaries, members of the district judiciary, and legal representatives.
Sources indicated that this appointment signifies a significant milestone for the electoral commission in Azad Kashmir as it gears up to undertake its upcoming electoral obligations and responsibilities.
