ISLAMABAD: Justice Yahya Afridi has separated from Supreme Court bench over Judges letter case
Justice Yahya Afridi recused himself from the bench of the Supreme Court hearing the suo motu notice on the issue of the letter of the judges of the Islamabad High Court.
The judge penned in his note that the High Courts are independent courts under the Constitution, Article 184/3 should not be utilized on the independence of the High Courts. Justice Yahya Afridi said that the matters raised in the letter of the 6 judges should be seen in the code of conduct of the Supreme Judicial Council, he recuseed himself from the bench on a suo motu note.
