Federal government has issued notice to K-Electric to solve the matter of getting 650 mw electricity from national grid till June 30.
Sources said that Ministry of Water and Power has openly clarified to K-Electric that the power company must sign new agreement to get electricity from national grid adding that all the details regarding new agreement have been settled.
The K-Electric has to consult and taking approval to its board over ministries conditions. Sources said that the K-Electric will be bound to generate maximum electricity from its all resources before getting electricity from national grid and has to give full payment for taking national grid electricity and K-Electric will not adjust payments the electricity taking from national grid to Karachi Water Board and in subsidy.
