Islamabad: Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal has emphasized the urgent need to scale up preventive healthcare efforts across the country.
Inaugurating the third phase of the big catch-up round campaign at a Basic Health Unit in Islamabad, he said the round is not just an immunization activity rather it is our national resolve to protect our children.
The immunization drive aims to reach children who missed routine vaccinations and protect them against 12 life-threatening vaccine-preventable diseases.
At the occasion, the World Health Organization Pakistan has announced that it is to join hands with Pakistan and partners to launch the Big-Catch-Up III to deliver life-saving vaccines to children who missed routine doses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 floods, or for other reasons.
