Karachi: Federal Minister for Health, Syed Mustafa Kamal, visited the Provincial Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for Polio to review ongoing eradication efforts.
Briefed by Provincial Coordinator Irshad Ali Sodhar, he assessed Sindh’s polio situation, vaccination progress, and challenges in achieving full immunization coverage.
Expressing concern over 43,000 vaccine refusals in Sindh, the Federal Health Minister emphasized the need for intensified community engagement.
He reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating polio, urging parents to ensure their children receive polio drops in April’s campaign.
The Minister said “Together, we can achieve a polio-free Pakistan.”
