Islamabad: Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday met with the Chief Executive of the pharmaceutical firm Haloen Pakistan.
The Health Minister held detailed discussion with the Haloen CE over possible cooperation in manufacturing of drugs, public health, ever increasing population, basic services.
Syed Mustafa Kamal said that speedy rise in population is hampering planning in the health sector.
The Minister said that clean drinking water, sewerage treatment and betterment in the health system are the prime priorities of the government.
He apprised the pharmaceutical firm CE that health facilities are being provided to people on their doorsteps through telemedicine.
He apprised that his ministry has formulated a clear roadmap for brining improvement in the health system.
On the other hand, the Health Minister also visited today Isolation Hospital and Infections Treatment Center (IHITC) hospital and regional blood center in Islamabad.
Syed Mustafa Kamal reviewed existing situation of the 270-bed IHITC hospital and the regional blood center.
The Minister directed to immediately present a composite plan to activate the regional blood center and use all the resources so that the safe blood transfusion could be ensured.
He said that immediate measures will also be taken to activate the IHITC hospital.
