Karachi (August 11, 2017): A DSP and his driver were martyred in a targeted attack in Aziazabad area of the city here.
According to details DSP Traffic Karimabad Section Hanif Khan and his driver Fida Alam were martyred when unidentified armed men opened fire of his official vehicle No. SP 189A in Azizabad area here.

According to sources the attack was carried out by three motorcycle-riding assassins.
The two policemen were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by the personnel of police and Rangers who rushed to the scene of killings immediately after getting the news.
The incident occurred near Shaheed-e-Millat Girls College. Twelve bullet marks were found on the windscreen of the vehicle.
According to initial investigation report 22 empty cases of 9mm bullets were found from the scene of the police target killings. The targeted attack was carried out by six attackers riding on three motorcycles and the vehicle was attacked from both the sides of the vehicle.
The report also says that there are similarities between this and other attacks on policemen recently and a complete drill and rehearsal was carried out by the attackers before the targeted attack. The martyred DSP Traffic used to conduct checking at the same spot daily, the report added.
Meanwhile, Taking notice of the killings Home Minister Sindh Suhail Anwar Siyal has called for an immediate report from Additional IG Karachi. The minister has also called for security high alert in Karachi and the immediate arrest of the killers.
