Karachi: Flour prices decrease following new wheat harvest

KARACHI: Flour mill owners have announced a notable decline in the prices of flour and fine flour after the new wheat harvest has entered the market.

Reports indicate that wheat prices have dropped by Rs. 10 per kilogram, prompting a reduction of up to Rs. 12 per kilogram in flour and fine flour rates.

The Flour Mills Association confirmed that wheat prices have decreased from Rs. 95 to Rs. 85 per kilogram. Consequently, the cost of Flour No. 2.5 in Karachi has been reduced from Rs. 107 to Rs. 95 per kilogram. Similarly, the price of fine flour has fallen from Rs. 126 to Rs. 114 per kilogram.

Industry experts suggest that the increased supply of fresh wheat is likely to help stabilize prices in the market, providing some relief to consumers struggling with inflationary pressures.
