Karachi Kings Defeat Multan Sultans in PSL X Third Match

KARACHI: Karachi Kings chased down the massive target of 235 runs in the final over, losing 6 wickets, and secured a 4-wicket victory over Multan Sultans.

Multan Sultans’ innings was opened by captain Mohammad Rizwan and Shai Hope, who built a 55-run partnership for the first wicket. However, Hope was dismissed after scoring only 8 runs.

Usman Khan followed shortly after, scoring 19 runs before being sent back to the pavilion.

Mohammad Rizwan became the first player to score a century in this edition of the PSL. He played an unbeaten innings of 105 runs off 63 balls, hitting 5 sixes and 9 fours.

New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell contributed a quickfire 44 runs off just 17 balls, while Kamran Ghulam added 36 runs.

Multan Sultans posted a total of 234 runs for 3 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

For Karachi Kings, Hasan Ali, Abbas Afridi, and Khushdil Shah took one wicket each.

Chasing a massive target of 235 runs, Karachi Kings lost their first four wickets for just 79 runs. However, James Vince and Khushdil Shah turned the game around with an aggressive partnership.

They put together 142 runs for the fifth wicket, with James Vince scoring a match-winning century. He made 101 runs before getting out.

Khushdil Shah also played a crucial innings, scoring 60 runs.

Karachi Kings successfully chased down the target in the final over, finishing at 235 for 6, and won the match by 4 wickets.

For Multan Sultans, Akif Javed was the most successful bowler, taking 3 wickets.
