Karachi Kings Wins Match Against Multan Sultan By 7 Runs

Dubai: Karachi Kings (KK) embraced first victory of Pakistan Super League fourth edition in its first match against Multan Sultan (MS)

The KK team defeated the rival Multan Sultan by just 7 runs as MS could not chase the ton of 184 runs target.

Multan Sultan captain Shoaib Malik and Laurie Evans were the top scorers as they scored 52 and 49 runs respectively while Muhammad Amir took 4 whereas Sohail Khan got two wickets representing KK.

Earlier, Karachi king had set 184 runs target for Multan Sultan to chase in its first battle of the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) being played in UAE.

Liam Livingstone and Babar Azam were the top scorer from KK as they scored 82 and 77 runs respectively.

The opening duo played tremendously and made 157 runs partnership which is the highest by KK opening duo in all the PSL editions played so far.

Liam Livingstone bowled out at 82 off 43 after playing aggressively while his innings included six sixes and as many as fours.

Baber Azam lost his wicket after scoring 77 runs with six fours and one six.

KK scored 183 runs while losing six wickets in allotted 20 overs. Chris Grain of Multan Sultan took 3 wickets.

Earlier, Karachi Kings had won the toss and decided to bat first against Multan Sultans in the second match of the 2019 Pakistan Super League at the Dubai International Stadium.
