KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar on Friday said that the National Action Plan had been implemented very much and now there should be a ‘targeted development plan’ for Karachi.
On Friday, the elected mayor visited Sindh Assembly for the first time after his release from jail. He was warmly received by MQM MPAs upon reaching at Sindh Assembly.
Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani presented Sindhi Ajrak and cap to the mayor.
thanked the members Sindh Assembly for the warm welcome,. Talking to media at Sindh Assembly, Akhtar said that the people of Karachi were facing difficulties.
He said that the people had great hope in Chief Minister Sindh. On the occasion, he thanked PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for raising voice for his release. He said that now he was requesting PPP chairman to ensure devolution of powers to the elected local governments so that the problems of the masses could be solved.
