KARACHI: The guard of Tibet Centre located on one of the busiest thoroughfares of the city has been arrested while traders staged sit-in on M A Jinnah Road after thieves looted of precious items and cash over 20 auto parts shops looted of the Centre late last night.
In his initial statement given to police the guard said that two men barged in late night, covered his face with a cloth, tied his hands and feet with ropes and fled after looting the shops.
The traders staging the sit-in protested against not being provided the security by the police. They blocked M A Jinnah Road for all types of traffic and demanded immediate arrest of the suspects.
Meanwhile, taking notice of the mass-theft IG Sindh Allah Dino Khawaja has called for an enquiry report within 24 hours.
