Karachi: Over 5 Tons Narcotics Recovered from Truck

Karachi (November 7, 2017): Huge quantity of narcotics worth tens of millions of rupees was recovered during a police action in Manghopir area here.

According to details during an action police recovered over five tons of narcotics being smuggled by a truck near Northern By-pass.

The driver of the truck loaded with the huge quantity of narcotics and two or three accomplices riding in the truck managed to flee taking advantage of the darkness.

Acting on a secret tip the police recovered more than five tons of narcotics which was concealed in 274 cartons and was being smuggled from Karachi through the Northern By-pass.

Police has taken the truck in its possession and initiated investigations.

Talking to media SP Orangi Abid Ali Baloch informed that acting on a tip police recovered over five tons of high quality ‘charas’ during an action conducted in Muhammad Khan Colony near Northern By-pass.

The truck and the huge quantity of narcotics recovered from it were shifted to Manghopir police station.
