Karachi (November 8, 2016): A policeman was shot dead in Shadman Town area of the city here.
Martyred Naveed was a personnel of Special Branch and was posted at Gadap police station.
According to details Naveed was sitting at a hotel outside Makkah masjid when two persons riding a motorcycle opened fire on him seriously injuring him. The injured policeman was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed hospital by Rescue ambulance where he succumbed to injuries.
DSP Mushtaq Tanoli has said that two empty 9mm cases found frone the scene of crime have been sent for forensic test.
No CCTV footage is available of the scene of crime.
Meanwhile, Landhi police an illegal Afghan alien while Liaquatabad police arrested a target killer of MQM London Javed Akhtar and recovered a Kalashinkov rifle and hand grenade from him.
