Karachi: The Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Chief Munam Zafar has demanded aid to affectees of the MA Jinnah road fire incident at the fireworks warehouse.
Addressing outside the affected building, Munam Zafar Khan expressing grief over the mayhem said that many precious lives wasted while no government representatives visited the bereaved families.
The JI Karachi chief expressed condolence with the bereaved families and made an appeal to the government to help the affectees.
As many as half dozen people lost their lives in the tragic incident while many were sustained injuries, he said.
He demanded Rs 10 million aid to every affectee of the incident while he also demanded an action against the illegal factories in the residential areas.
He said that the matter would have been more severe as a school is situated at the spot.
Talking about the new provinces, he said that whether make 32 or 12 provinces, if the assembly thinks then Karachi should be made a province.
At the occasion, President National Labour Federation (NLF) Khalid Khan and Secretary Information JI Karachi Zahid Askari were accompanied the JI Chief.
