ISLAMABAD: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control, as well as across the globe, are observing Jammu Martyrs’ Day today to reaffirm their commitment to the struggle for their UN-recognized right to self-determination.
As reported by Kashmir Media Service, November 6 stands as one of the darkest and bloodiest episodes in Kashmir’s history. On this day, countless Muslims were brutally massacred by the forces of Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh, the Indian Army, and RSS-backed Hindu extremists across various areas of the Jammu region.
In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, posters have surfaced in multiple areas, encouraging people to honor and pay tribute to the Jammu martyrs on their anniversary.
Special prayers have been held in mosques for the integrity, prosperity, and progress of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, along with prayers for the early liberation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Rallies and protest gatherings have been organized in towns and cities across the region, spearheaded by the Kashmir Liberation Cell, Hurriyat factions, and religious organizations.
The primary event marking Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Jammu is being hosted in Muzaffarabad under the banner of the Kashmir Liberation Cell.
