ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif expressed praise for Iran’s resilience and bravery, describing the recent ceasefire between Iran and Israel as a positive development.
In a statement from the federal capital, Khawaja Asif commended Iran for maintaining composure and defending itself against a significantly stronger adversary with assertive measures. He said, “I commend the determination of the Iranian leadership and the resilience of its people.” He further noted that recent events have marked two notable successes for the Muslim world.
He highlighted that Pakistan’s victory over India and Iran’s stance against Israel are both major achievements. “Pakistan’s victory over India and Iran’s firm stance against Israel are two pivotal moments,” he stated. “The ceasefire demonstrates that Israel’s accusations lacked substance.”
The Defense Minister emphasized that these developments underscore the strength and unity of the Muslim Ummah. “We pray for Allah’s mercy on the people of Gaza. Our hearts and thoughts remain with the Palestinians and all oppressed communities in Gaza,” he concluded.
