Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has sounded the alarm about the “disastrous consequences” of Western support for Israel, calling on Muslim states to unite against the occupying regime.
The Defense Minister said in a message posted on X on Monday that Western countries’ all-out support for the unruly Tel Aviv rulers will lead to the spread of conflicts in the region, with its “disastrous consequences” spilling across the borders of West Asia.
“The world should be cautious and concerned about nuclear-armed Israelis, who do not adhere to any of the international nuclear regulations and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), and have not signed any other binding agreement,” he said.

“The Western World should be concerned about the conflicts that are being caused by Israelis, these conflicts will engulf the entire region and beyond, so their support for Israel, a rogue [regime], could have disastrous consequences,” he added.
On the other hand, he said that Pakistan is signatory to all international nuclear disciplines, our nuclear capability is for the benefit of our people and defence of our country against hostile designs of our enemies.
We do not pursue hegemonic policies against our neighbours which are being amply demonstrated by Israel these days, he adds.
