Police has resorted to baton charge on protest of Tankers Owners Association (TOA) and rounded up many tanker owners.
The TOA were protesting against contract system and bad attitude of Karachi and Water and Sewerage Board management and they placed tankers in front of KWSB main office at Shahra-e-Faisal.
The tanker owner association said that earlier we were assured of for fulfillment of our demands and now if our demands were not met then we will march towards Chief Minister (CM) house.
The protest resulted into the traffic jam at the main artery of the metropolis and citizens faced difficulties due to long queue of different transports.
After several hours of the protest police attack the protestors while police openly use baton and sticks. The police also rounded up many tanker drivers and restored the traffic flow after evacuating tankers.
