ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif returned to the country from Dubai amid propaganda from different quarters especially top PTI leadership that he fled the country along with his family.
The Defense Minister had gone to Dubai on Saturday along with his family members to attend a marriage ceremony there. His departure coincided with the stepping down of Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid which provided his opponent an opportunity to grind rumors mills and resort to propaganda.
The top PTI leadership including party chief Imran Khan took this an opportunity to settle score with Asif. Imran tweeted: “Mubarak to nation! 1 darbari sacked, the other flees & the rest start trembling as they look over their shoulders! NS’s darbar disappearing!”
Khwaja Asif after reaching home hit back at the PTI leadership and tweeted: “Just landed back Alhamdolillah… Ab tera kaya bane ga kaliya.”
