PESHAWAR: Ten ministers from the newly-formed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet were sworn in on Friday during a ceremony at the Governor House in Peshawar, the provincial capital.
The recently appointed Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi who succeeded Ali Amin Gandapur earlier this month finalized his cabinet after receiving direction from PTI’s incarcerated founder, Imran Khan, to proceed with the formation.
KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi administered the oath to Mina Khan, Fazal Shakoor, Faisal Turkai, Aaqibullah, Arshad Ayub Khan, Aftab Alam, Dr Amjad, Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Riaz Khan, and Syed Fakhar Jehan. While all have officially been inducted as ministers, their specific portfolios are set to be announced later.
Notably, this new cabinet is significantly smaller compared to Gandapur’s previous setup, which initially comprised 33 members but was trimmed down following a reshuffle.
