King Abdullah II praises Pakistan Army’s role in regional stability during meeting with Field Marshal

RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, paid an official visit to Jordan, where he met with King Abdullah II, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported in an official statement.

According to the military’s media wing, COAS Syed Asim Munir, who is currently on an official tour of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, held discussions with His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, the monarch of Jordan and the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces.

The meeting was also attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. During the talks, both leaders exchanged views on regional issues and explored avenues to strengthen defense and security cooperation between their countries.

The Chief of Army Staff conveyed Pakistan’s warm regards from the nation’s people, government, and armed forces to King Abdullah II, reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to furthering its brotherly relations with Jordan. The King expressed admiration for the professionalism and efforts of the Pakistan Armed Forces in promoting regional peace and stability, and voiced a keen interest in deepening defense collaboration with Pakistan.

Prior to this, Field Marshal Munir also met with Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti, Chairman of Jordan’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, at the General Headquarters in Amman. The visit began with a formal Guard of Honour, and both military leaders reaffirmed the longstanding and strong ties between the armed forces of Pakistan and Jordan. Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti acknowledged Pakistan’s significant contributions toward regional peace and security during the meeting.
