Supreme Court has issued notice to the Khyber Pakhtwankhwa government and DPO kohistan to unearth the facts of the murders of five girls over dance video incident.
A two-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Ijaz Afzal was told by petitioner’s counsel Afzal Kohistani that five girls visible in the video as well as three brothers of his client were murdered. He requested the Supreme Court to reopen its suo moto notice of the case.
The petitioner’s lawyer told the court that the girls were murdered by their family members and case was also not registered. Commenting that the matter could not left as it is Justice Ijaz Afzal said that police should investigate the case.
Directing Advocate General KPK and DPO Kohistan to inform about the facts of the case the court adjourned the hearing for two weeks.
