KARACHI: The University of Karachi has cancelled the law degree of Islamabad High Court’s Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri and imposed a three-year ban on him.
According to an official notification issued by the university, the LLB result and degree of Tariq Mehmood, son of Qazi Muhammad Akram, have been nullified. The notification states that the student was found guilty of using unfair means, leading to a three-year prohibition.
Furthermore, the notification declares that the individual is barred from gaining admission or appearing in examinations at any university or college during this period.
It was also stated that Tariq Mehmood was never officially enrolled as a regular student of Islamia Law College, Karachi.
