The family had been pondering to take Begum Kulsoom Nawaz to the US for treatment but finally it has now been decided to continue with the team of British doctors as it is progressing very well.
Earlier Senator Pervaiz Rashid said that Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will only return after his wife Kulsoom Nawaz’s health improves. The PML-N leader said that Sharif will wait for some more reports before deciding about his date of return to Pakistan.
Rejecting all rumours regarding Sharif’s return to Pakistan this week, Senator Rashid said that the former PM will come to Pakistan soon.
He said that American visas were only obtained for Kulsoom’s treatment. “As of now, the Sharif family has no plans to leave for America. As soon as any plan finalises, it will be made public … nothing will be kept hidden.”
Sharif left for London on August 30 to be with his ailing wife, who was diagnosed with early-stage lymphoma earlier this month. She was discharged from the hospital after undergoing successful treatment in London. Her grandson Zayd Hussain, son of Hussain Nawaz, took to Twitter to announce that his grandmother had returned home.On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif also seems to have prolonged his stay in London. Shehbaz left for London on September 5, which officially was said to be a three-day trip.
The reason for his prolonged stay is that the Punjab government is organising an International Conference on Health in London through Pakistani High Commission on Sunday (tomorrow).
The chief minister will be participating in the conference and is expected to hold meetings with the participants.
According to the Punjab government officials, the International Conference on Health would exhibit the need of human resource, technology and investment in the health sector of Punjab. They said that the Punjab government would be spending Rs250 billion in the health sector of Pakistan as there was room for trained human resources for better and advanced medical technology and investments in the sector. Shehbaz would hold meetings with interested organisations and parties after the conference, they added.
In the absence of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, PML-N’s Lahore chapter and Maryam Nawaz are running her election campaign in NA-120.
