Karachi: Mayor of Karachi Murtaza Wahah has said that he has three preferences at the moment, first rains related problems, secondly sewerage and thirdly just distribution of water.
Talking to media after visiting Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) headquarter, officers of the KWSB briefed the mayor over distribution of water in the city.
He said that the KWSB will be run on the merit.
He met with Chief Executive Officer(CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the KWSB.

He has issued directions for digitizing record of hydrants while he also instructed to address public complaints regarding water theft and leakages.
Besides that he also ordered redressal of public complaints regarding sewerage issues. The Mayor said that the KWSB has outstanding financial recovery of Rs 50 Bn which needs to be ensured.
