LAHORE: Security agencies on Wednesday took the driver of the van targeted in a suicide attack into custody on suspicions.
The driver of the van, who also injured in the attack, was picked up by intelligence agencies on suspicions and was shifted to an undisclosed local for interrogation.
Sources said that as per initial investigation, the van driver stopped the van at a workshop in Badian. When the van stopped at the workshop, the suspected suicide bomber walked up and detonated himself near the van.
This raised suspicions about the driver and he was taken into custody. The agencies started investigation from the driver.
It is to be mentioned here that six persons including four Army men were martyred when a suicide bomber targeted a van carrying the census staff today in Lahore.
