LAHORE: First case verdict released under Cyber Law in Lahore, while court sentenced the accused two year prison and 30 thousand rupees fine over uploading pictures on internet.
The case under Cyber Crime Bill was heard in Session Court Lahore, during which FIA officials told the court that the accused Yasir Lateef used to blackmail innocent girls after uploading their pictures on the internet, while several girls’ lives have been destroyed due to such heinous act.
Prosecutor adopted stance that the cyber crime bill was aimed only to protect the honor of noble people, while the prosecutor requested the court that there are solid evidences and eyewitnesses available against accused Yasir Lateef, therefore the convict must be given strict sentence according to law.
Court, after completion of argument by both parties, released first verdict under cyber rule and sentenced the convict Yasir Lateef two years in prison and charged fine of 30 thousand rupees.
