LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami has commenced its three-day public gathering titled “Change the System” at Greater Iqbal Park. The event has seen a large turnout of party workers and women supporters.
During the inaugural session, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Chief Hafiz Naim-ur-Rehman emphasized that the current system cannot provide relief to the people. He criticized the dominance of mafias, stating that farmers, laborers, and youth are suffering. He vowed to awaken the masses and asserted that the oppressive system can no longer continue.
Hafiz Naim-ur-Rehman highlighted that the movement aims to establish justice, transparency, and an Islamic system in the country. He also rejected any attempts to come to power through conspiracies or electoral manipulations like Form 47.
Addressing the 27th Constitutional Amendment, he insisted that there should be no room for exemptions and said that no compromises will be made on the issues of Kashmir and Palestine. He reaffirmed that Jamaat-e-Islami’s politics are rooted in truth and justice.
The Jamaat leader announced that on the third day of the gathering, a future action plan will be presented, which is expected to expand the “Change the System” movement across the country.
