RAWALPINDI: In the fourth match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, Lahore Qalandars defeated Quetta Gladiators by 79 runs.
The match was played in Rawalpindi, where Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to field first against Lahore Qalandars.
Batting first, Lahore Qalandars posted a massive total of 219 runs for 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
In reply, Quetta Gladiators were bowled out for 140 runs in the 17th over, falling short of the 220-run target.
For Lahore, Fakhar Zaman played a brilliant knock of 67 runs, which included 3 sixes and 7 fours.
Sam Billings remained not out after scoring a quick half-century off just 19 balls, hitting 4 sixes and 4 fours for his 50 runs.
Abdullah Shafique and Daryl Mitchell both contributed 37 runs each.
Mohammad Naeem scored 10 runs, and Sikandar Raza was dismissed for 6 runs.
From Quetta’s bowling side, Akeal Hosein and Abrar Ahmed took 2 wickets each, while Faheem Ashraf and Usman Tariq claimed one wicket apiece.
Chasing the target of 220, Quetta Gladiators managed only 140 runs.Rilee Rossouw top-scored with 44 runs, while Kusal Mendis made 28 runs.
Shoaib Malik scored 14, and Akeal Hosein contributed 13 runs.
