Karachi (June 05, 2018): Abb Takk News unearthed large-scale irregularities in Karachi Development Authority (KDA).
According to the details, contract employs’ data is missing from the record in KDA. Whereas the blue-eyed contract employees were enjoying their salaries at home. Sources privy to the matter said that salaries and perks of blue-eyed employs were increased twice within six months.

Whereas the high officials in KDA were taking Rs 0.3 million rupees from contract employs for regularization. On the other hand, a chief engineer gave Rs0.8 million for the post of Superintendent engineer.
The sources said that the high officials were reluctant to hold DPC to achieve their evil designs. It is pertinent to mention here that Chief Engineer Masood Khan’s nephew is also among the ghost employees.
An employee, Amir Dewan son of Abdullah Dewan was appointed in KDA in 2016 as a contract employee but he was regularized as showing an old employee. Another employee, Faqir Muhammad was promoted to grade seven after taking bribe worth Rs 0.3 million. The sources said that above 30 employees were given out of turn promotions after taking bribe.
Masood Khan does not have a good reputation in the institute. He joined KDA in 2016 as an 18-grade officer and after a short span of time, Masood was promoted to grade 20.
Earlier, Masood Khan had faced inquiry in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital over corruption charges. He had been suspended over irregularities in KDA machines sales.
Following officers were given out of turn promotion twice within six months:
Masood Khan, Imran, Sami, Waqar, Rizwi and Ahmad Ali.
KDA had been refusing increase in pension due to lack of funds but on the other hand giving out of turn promotions and perks to blue-eyed employees.
