LARKANA: Authorities announced on Thursday that a significant number of wanted bandits, including members of the feared Dahani gang, have surrendered to law enforcement. The surrender involved 16 gang members, among them the infamous dacoit Sharif Dahani, who had a Rs. 5 million bounty on his head.
The government had previously announced a Rs. 3 million reward for each of the Dahani brothers, Akbar and Saifal. Additionally, Akbar Soomro, another gang member, was listed with a Rs. 1 million reward, while Asghar and Bhooro Dahani each carried a Rs. 500,000 bounty.
These individuals were wanted for numerous serious crimes, including murder, armed robbery, and encounters with police. Law enforcement agencies have intensified their operations in the katcha regions, citing successful strategies and strict enforcement measures that have significantly hampered the activities of bandit groups in the area.
