According to British media reports, Israel has made it clear that the Iran-backed group Hezbollah will not be included in the negotiations.
The development follows reports that Lebanon and Israel established their first contact ahead of the talks, facilitated through their respective ambassadors in Washington. The Lebanese presidency described this initial communication as an important diplomatic breakthrough after recent escalations.
