LAHORE: Case has been registered against the central leadership of the Grand Health Alliance and the protesters who were holding a sit-in on Mall Road, with 26 individuals arrested.
According to police, a case has been filed at the Civil Lines police station against Dr. Shoaib Niazi and 8 officials of the Young Doctors Association. The FIR names over 300 protesters as accused.
The FIR states that 50 to 60 protesters attacked the police with knives, scissors, and sticks.
The accused continued to assault government officials in groups at various locations, damaged public property, removed obstacles, and tore police uniforms.
Police reported that the protesters, agitated from Faiz Chowk, proceeded towards Club Chowk, where they arrested 26 angry individuals during an operation.
It is noteworthy that the police conducted a cleanup operation late at night, clearing Mall Road after 23 days of the Grand Health Alliance’s sit-in in Lahore.
